Mahi Tahi Artwork
In school we have been doing Mahi Tahi.
Mahi Tahi is where Te Kahu, Kakapo and Tui class all work together on fun activities and include the four C’s which are Collaboration, Communication, critical thinking and creativity.
We have created an artwork inspired by Vincent van Gogh. This artwork is called "The Starry Night". Instead of using paint, we used strips of coloured paper to make a collage.

🕯 What Is Advent 🕯
Advent is a season in the year that leads up to Christmas.
The wreath is made from ever green branches that are laid flat and symbolizes eternal life and the eternity of God. The advent wreath is also known as the advent crown.
Many advent wreaths have a white candle which is also known as the Christ candle in the center that symbolizes the coming of Christmas.

Ice Skating
Ice skating
Last week on Friday we went ice skating at Te Ahu centre.
The weather was wet so we went in some of the parents cars. when we got there and entered the room it felt freezing cold like I was in a freezer.
The ground was hard plastic and around was a blow up fence even a bubble machine! When we finally got on the ice there was already people slipping over!
me and me friend Priyanci just went around the side hanging on to the blow up fence. Out of no where music started playing and played musical statues boys vs girls. the music stooped and i tried to stop as fast as i could and over it wasn't a soft landing the boys ended up winning and ice skating was almost over. I had a little more of a skate around and CRASH! I fell again but on my arm. it wasn't a great ending but at least i still had a fun time.

have you done ice skating before?
how was your experience?

End of term reflection
End Of The Term Reflection.
My Learning this Term has been interesting. I have learnt a lot about the Anzac Gallipoli war and how it started what made it happen. We have been doing a lot of art by creating African designs using patterns and different colours. We have set some goals for literacy and math and learnt how to share to others about our goals and what we need to work on. We have been also learning and using mania kalini on our devices and have learnt cool new tricks that will help with our learning. I have enjoyed learning and experiencing mania kalani learning tool and doing our African patterns and shapes.
What I need to work on.
There are a few things i need to work on for next term like time management and getting higher scores in my basic facts.
