End of term reflection

End Of The Term Reflection.
My Learning this Term has been interesting. I have learnt a lot about the Anzac Gallipoli war and how it started what made it happen. We have been doing a lot of art by creating African designs using patterns and different colours. We have set some goals for literacy and math and learnt how
to share to others about our goals and what we need to work on. We have been also learning and using mania kalini on our devices and have learnt cool new tricks that will help with our learning. I have enjoyed learning and experiencing mania kalani learning tool and doing our African patterns and shapes.

What I need to work on.
There are a few things i need to work on for next term like time management and getting higher scores in my basic facts.

Blog writing start of term goals

Blog writing
At the start of the term our class set goals.
We have to choose a Maths, Literacy and personal goal.

My personal goal is to be resilient
-I can keep trying
- I can recognise what needs to be ‘let go’
- I can withstand difficulties or problems
- I can recover quickly from setbacks.

My literacy goal is ideas + linking
-I can link my new learning to my prior knowledge
-I know that reading and writing go together
-I can find the big ideas/ authors
-I can elaborate on my ideas in writing.

My maths goal is Basic Facts
-I know that number knowledge and basic facts are a strong foundation
- I can instantly recall basic facts
-I know my times tables up to 9 times 9
-I know number groupings and patterns.

Letter Writing

Blog writing
A few weeks ago our class have wrote letters from anzac in Gallipoli.
We had to put ourselves into other people's shoes
and describe what it's like to be soldiers in Gallipoli and fighting in the war.

We also made little poppies out of tissue paper and hang them on the wall.

Clay Art

Clay Art
A few weeks ago our class made clay art. The designs and shapes had to be Kiwiana related.

My design is about my family
the little kuros are me my sisters and brothers and the two big kuros are my parents.

I started off with a flat piece of clay  then added more clay and shaped it into kuros. when I was finished I wet my hands with a little bit of water and carefully smoothed it out and put some little designs on the  two big kuros.

When we were done we let them day for a couple of days and then hung them on the wall
